We send a link to the address you gave. It works once and lasts 24 hours, and becomes your sign-in name.

None of these stop you signing up. Steps that need them can wait until you have them.
Permit or exemption reference
Setup looks your site up on the regulator’s public register and offers what it finds as your business name and site address, for you to confirm.
Legal name and address
The business that receives the waste, as transfer records and waste tracking must name it.
Your DEFRA receiver API code
If you have registered with DEFRA’s service already. If not, the step can wait.
Indicator make and model
Only if you are connecting the weighbridge now. Until then, weights can be entered by hand.
Who becomes the administrator?
The person who signs up. The account is created with you as its administrator, and you can add your team as users afterwards.
I did not receive the confirmation email.
The confirmation page lets you ask for the link again. The link works once and lasts 24 hours.
Can I leave setup and come back?
Yes. Each step is saved as you go, and the steps marked as able to wait can be finished later.
